and in newspapers, idiot boxes, restaurants, billboards, fwded mails, SMSes - basically anywhere you can possibly lay your eye on or turn your ear to. If the modern version of the day puts you off a bit, you can always do as the Romans did though being anointed with blood or lining up to receive lashes might not exactly be your idea of celebrating valentine....well at least not for most of you! And for those of you who have been staying up all night (yeah right!) thinking of what gifts to buy, don't you wish things were this simple.

Hmm... "priests of Faunus, dressed only in a goatskin" sounds interesting. The Romans had this wonderful tradition of having the best looking guys and gals serving at the temples. Good idea to keep the faithful flocking there for the daily ritual sacrifice!
Well I'd have preferred priestess, dressed barely in goatskin :p Now that would have surely made an ardent follower out of me!
